There's always something to celebrate at our school! From exciting events to proud moments and everyday wins, here are some of our highlights.

A year at our school

Both our Junior and Senior bands took to the stage at Bandfest, performing at the Newcastle Conservatorium. Our Junior band impressed the adjudicator and proudly placed first at their very first Bandfest appearance! Meanwhile, our senior band received a commended award in a highly competitive and challenging category — an amazing achievement all round!

What an amazing morning spent supporting our friends at The John Hunter Hospital School Fete - thank you for inviting us to play! Community were blown away by the fabulous sounds from the Junior and Senior APS Stage Bands—truly the coolest tunes in town!

A huge round of applause for Leo, Stella, Isla, Sienna H, Chace, Haze, Fletcher, Ella and Sienna DW, who represented our school with pride on Thursday, performing their piece ‘The Last Toll’ at the NSW State Drama Festival – Aspire.

"Our family successfully engaged with the Building Blocks program with our first son Zac, and particularly appreciated the connections Building Blocks has with the early learning framework. Nate, who is starting Kinder next year, likes hearing from Zac about what school is like, and that he had such a positive start to school, and Nate sees this happening at Building Blocks now too." — Lauren, current APS mum and incoming 2026 Kinder mum.
